The Tour de France showcases the Pyréneés

Orientales and Aude departments at their best.

Whether you’re a cyclist or a spectator, there’s no doubt that you’re in the best spot to check it out!

Stage 16 of the Tour passes through Limoux, Chalabre & Lavelanet, all on our doorstep!

Aude is made up of a wide variety of landscapes from sea to mountains. It is a cycling destination par excellence, the sunny roads take in Cathar castles, vineyards, wild gorges, lakes and magnificent views.

Château de Chalabre is a Cathar castle home to an Interactive Medieval Leisure Park. Entrance to the park gives you access to activities such as archery, pony-back chivalry, treasure hunts, augmented reality, the medieval garden & tree climbing course, weapons room, calligraphy and for older children, aerial games and the ‘Courage Trap’, a free fall of 14 meters to the dungeon!
