Aude is made up of a wide variety of landscapes from sea to mountains. It is a cycling destination par excellence, the sunny roads take in Cathar castles, vineyards, wild gorges, lakes and magnificent views.

Château de Chalabre is a Cathar castle home to an Interactive Medieval Leisure Park. Entrance to the park gives you access to activities such as archery, pony-back chivalry, treasure hunts, augmented reality, the medieval garden & tree climbing course, weapons room, calligraphy and for older children, aerial games and the ‘Courage Trap’, a free fall of 14 meters to the dungeon!

Look outside and you’ll realise there’s no shortage of road to ride, hills to climb, ascents and descents into beautiful French villages nearby.

There’s step-free access from the front garden into the gym where bikes can be stored.
